Trying & Doing

It's a difference. Is one better than the other though? It's like does the person who tried and failed get less respect than the person who tried and succeeded? Member that blog I posted about perspective... well here's mine.

For me, it's a matter of present tense versus future tense.

You know how people might say "I'm trying" when you ask them how work, life or something that they are trying to accomplish is going. I recently caught myself saying that and realized why I say it. It's because I'm thinking about the future. I'm thinking about where I want to be instead of where I am and what I've done to get here. So when people ask, I say "I'm trying" not because I don't believe that I'm doing something but because I'm TRYING to get somewhere and I'm not there yet. If we.... I, would just focus on the present I would have a easier time saying "yeah im doing my thing" . It's feels like I'm waiting to get to a certain point until I can get the right to say that though.

Yall feel me?

It just taught me to stay focused on the present. The past is gone and the future aint promised, so do what YOU can in the present to dictate what YOUR future will be.

Shoutout to my old GM Paul Money who I first heard this concept of "try'ers and do'ers" from. Are you a try'er, someone who is focused on future accomplishments OR are you a do'er, someone who is focused on present accomplishments?

(There's no wrong answer)

And which one do you want to be?
